Christmas Information

I would like to thank all my customers for their support and custom this year and wish you a lovely Christmas Yule Holiday and Brightest Blessings for the New Year!

Christmas Orders and Delivery Dates: Based on Royal Mail recommendations, these are the guidelines on how late you can leave your Christmas shopping:

  • 2nd Class Post: 1pm Thursday 17th December

  • 1st Class Post: 1pm Monday 21st December

  • Royal Mail Special Delivery: 1pm Wednesday 23rd December

  • Courier Delivery: TBC - at the moment, 1pm Tuesday 22nd December

Please take any dispatch status notifications into consideration if buying for Christmas presents. (For example, if you order an item on 23rd December that takes 4 working days for dispatch, it will not arrive in time for Christmas!!!)

I would like to assure you that you can shop with confidence over the festive period with Spirit Adventures. In the case of a few exceptions, all orders are dispatched within their designated time frames and in the rare circumstance that your order is delayed, you will be notified within 24 hours with an estimated delivery time and you will always have the option to cancel your order.

Orders are constantly dispatched over the festive period and so there is rarely back logs and delays are few. Of course, once orders have been dispatched we have to rely on the delivery services used and we cannot guarantee their speed or delivery date. However, most deliveries arrive next day and Courier and Special Delivery provide a guaranteed delivery date for a small extra charge and your delivery costs will be refunded if your item is delayed using either of these two services.

Christmas Break Closing Dates: Spirit Adventures will be closed at 2pm Wednesday 23rd December until 10am Monday 4th January 2010. You can still purchase online through this period. However, goods will not be dispatched until the week commencing Monday 4th January. All emails and phone messages shall not be answered until this date either, unless they are urgent.

Thank you!

P.S - Apologies for the lack of blogging the last couple of months. As you probably understand, this yule season is the busiest time of the year and as it is only me on my own, I have to get all your orders out, maintain stock, maintain the website and deal with the phone, telephones etc. Not that I am complaining but as you can imagine, it is quite a lot to keep on top of!

I will have some exciting blog news in the new year though so look out for that!

Nearly Mabon

Goodness me! How the weather has changed this week? It truly is Autumn now. Not that I mind that. Autumn is my favourite season. Its time for the turning leaves, burning fires and Samhain/Halloween which is my favourite sabbat!
But before I get carried away with that, it will soon be time for Mabon. I am sharing my ritual with you as you may like to use it.
Again, I have used Cassandra Eason’s Book “Witchcraft and Magic Spells” for the main bulk of this. Enjoy!

Ritual of Mabon

1. Decorate alter with a basket of leaves and surround it with foods of the harvest.
2. Place blue and green candles at alternate corners, beginning with green in the west – marking out a square that holds both joys and sorrows of the year that has passed.
3. Light first the blue candle or the north, followed by green in the East, and blue in south saying:
“The Light is born, increases flames and flares, and with it, our lives at increase, intensify, we plough and plant, create and tend, travel far and seek out our destinies.”
4. Light finally the green candle of autumn and the West, saying:
“The harvest is gathered and the fruits of our endeavours made great by the bounty of Mother Nature.”
5. Take you cauldron filled with water and place it to the West of the leaves etc.
6. Take a leaf to symbolize and ending, an unfulfilled hope or plan and another one that was achieved or a problem now resolved; name first the sorrow and then the gain and drop the leaves into the bowl and say:
“What is lost and what is gained are balanced and the same, as the waters of life flow on.”
7. Eat a piece of food and say:
“I take with thanks the abundance of the harvest and I bid farewell to the summer with joy and not sadness.”
8. Continue with the above until you are done.
9. Move candles closer to the container of water and look into the water to see images. – You can add blue and green wax from the candles to help scry.
10. When next outdoors, scatter unused leaves into air and say:
“Fly free, fly joyous, not in sorrow, to return, renewed in the spring.”
